Apologies for any typos and brevity. My aunt, Michelle Pizzo, passed away yesterday. She was very active in Seattle/Tacoma politics. Many of the friendships she had in this area were through that activism.
We had very little notice before my aunt died. Needless to say we're all a bit overwhelmed and more than a little heartbroken. We're not sure how to make sure that everyone is notified. I know it might be a long shot, but I'm hoping that someone here knew her and knows more of the political tasks she was involved in.
So, that's that. If any of you know Michelle, please let's know. We also have a remembrance page on Facebook here https://m.facebook.com/...
I'll check in later- my phone is almost dead. But before I go, I have to say: Michelle was one of the most influential people in my life. She schooled me on feminism, and in 2004 when you were having your primary wars, we were having our own via email.
I used to say that since she was a Clark girl and I was a Dean girl we both lost. But then she got to meet Clark and gushed for weeks.
I used to send her links to my diaries here. After she read one of them (I can't remember which at the moment), she told me "your big, weird goofy heart has always been safe with me. I adore you."
I adore you too, Michelle. Thank you for everything.
And I promise I'll take care of your beautiful children.
